Each heat pump you purchase from our family-run business is owner installed by Tim Faoro, Master Electrician and EPA Section 608 Universal Certified HVAC Technician.
What does Section 608 Universal Certified mean? This refers to The Clean Air Act (1970). Section 608 was added to the Clean Air Act in 1993 to help protect the planet and reduce the damage refrigerants were causing to the environment. Now, all technicians who work with appliances that use refrigerants are required to have EPA 608 Certification. This certification and regulations associated with section 608 ensure that refrigerants are handled and disposed of safely and appropriately. A Universal HVAC Technician has passed all three types of EPA 608 exams and has the skills needed to safely service and dispose of ANY kind of appliance with refrigerant.
Ulster County law requires that all electrical work, including hooking power up to heat pumps must be done by a licensed electrician. We have got that covered.
